Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

GigSync.Live (“GigSync”, “we”, “us”) operates gigsync.live, an early access waitlist for a live music booking platform. We are based in the United States and this site is intended for US residents. 2. Information we collect

• Information you give us. The type of participant you select (artist, venue, music lover, or sound/lighting pro), your name or business name, your email address, and your answers to the profile questionnaire — which may include your city and state, booking contact name, phone number, booking email address, genres, availability, capacity, fee or rate ranges, equipment, and links to your website and social media.
• Marketing preferences. Whether you ticked “Notify me about upcoming features”, the date and time you did so, and the exact wording shown to you at the time.
• Technical and attribution information. Your browser user agent, a one-way hash of your IP address (we do not store the address itself), the page you arrived on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign).

We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, government identifiers, or any sensitive personal information.

3. How we use it

• To save your place on the waitlist and let you resume your profile later.
• To send you a confirmation email with a link back to your profile, and to reply to you.
• To send you product updates if — and only if — you asked for them. Every such message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly.
• To understand demand by city, venue type and genre so we know where to launch first.
• To detect and block spam, bots and abuse.

Our legal basis, where one is required, is your consent for marketing email and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the waitlist for everything else.

4. We do not sell your information

We will never sell your information to third parties, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with the service providers who run this site on our behalf, under contract and only for that purpose:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition — in which case we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

5. Cookies and local storage

We set one cookie, gs_resume, which holds a random token identifying your unfinished profile so you can close the tab and come back. It is httpOnly, expires after one year, and is not used for advertising. We store the same token in your browser’s local storage as a backup. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. [If analytics are added, list them here.]

6. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist entries until the platform launches in your area and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete yours — whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe we keep the minimum record needed to honour that request.

7. Security

Data is stored in an access-controlled database; resume tokens are stored only as irreversible hashes, and your IP address is stored only as a hash. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message.
• Ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@gigsync.live.
• Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right. [Confirm which state laws apply once volumes are known.]

9. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will email everyone on the list.
